Monica Dahl has been in private practice as a hypnotherapist since 1985. She completed a doctorate in Counseling Psychology (Ed.D.) in 2010 and began post graduate supervision toward licensure as a mental health professional in Florida.

Her clinical services include: Peak Performance (Academic, Athletics, Creative Arts, Public Speaking), Stress Reduction, Pain Management/Comfort Skills, Asthma, Attention Deficit (ADD) /Attention Deficit Hyperactivity (ADHD), Anxiety, Depression, Hot Flashes/Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS), Obsessive Compulsive (OCD), Overeating/Weight Reduction, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Strokes, Traumatic Brain Injury aka Concussion (TBI) and Spiritual Emergence.

Her successful dissertation regarding Neurofeedback for PTSD Symptom Reduction can be obtained from Argosy University in Sarasota.

Monica presently divides her time between a medical clinic in Key West and another in Boca Raton, Florida.


 
 
 

Work Experience:

 
 

2011: Mental Health Intern specializing in Neurofeedback and hypnotherapy. Target areas of interest are pain management, stress reduction, anxiety, ADHD, depression, PTSD, and peak performance.

1985 - Present: A private practice in hypnotherapy.

2008 - Present: Field experience in client centered neurofeedback with limited pro bono referrals from Dr. McKnight.  Topics of interest:  ADD/ADHD, Alzeimers, Migraines, PTSD, Peak Performance

2002 - 2005: Weekly Hypnosis Jam Sessions provided low cost and pro bono hypnosis and hypnotherapy for the community. These sessions provided practice opportunities for hypnosis students and apprentices, served as a recruiting incentive for Key West Jaycees, offered intern students to hypnosis as a viable tool in the field of health care, and raised funds to help renovate and maintain the Key West Jaycees clubhouse.

2001 - 2008: Field experience in client centered medical hypnosis with pro bono referrals from Dr. McKnight.  Group and dyadic focus of interest: relaxation for health, hypnosis, hypnotherapy, hypnoanalysis, pain management, spirituality and healing, living with disabilities.
